There is a belief that children are the gift of God. In childhood, child does not know what is anger, jealousy and pain. This is the stage where children are treated as God. But in India there are some children who cannot fullfil their basic necessities like food, shelter and clothes.
These children always tend to work and forget that they are also eligible to read and write. They work whole day. And the earing is not enough to sustain daily.
This will lead to the disorder in health, the children are deprivived of education and food, were they are supposed to enjoy their child hood
Because the family is in a state of financial crisis, the children are made to work and earn money. The poor children suffer from starvation as they donot get sufficient food to eat. This will effect on the groth of the children, by which he will be deprived of all the necessary elements of which a normalor rich children will have.
The measures to remove hunger and to support the poor children are:
1) To reduce the family burden from children.
2) To educate the children,
3) Reduction in growth rate of population.
4) Development of agriculture,
5) Stability in price level,
6) Eradication of disguised unemployment and increase in employment.
7) Changes in techniqe of production,
8) Special focus on backward region,
9) Provision for the minimum needs of poor and
10) Oppertunities for self employment...
If just one thinks it is difficult to remove poverty from our country. Atleast we must have the potential to do it.The first step is to promote education among the poor and needy. 90% of the poor children have the dream to get educated. The people who have the capacity can come forward to help the poor and needy. We can also donate money to them. We must have a good administration setup in INDIA to abolish poverty. Everyone should help the poor in some or the other way.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation is the place where people can donate for the poor underprivileged children. It supports the poor children as it provides free hot midday meals for the school children. The poor children atleast for the sake of meals come and attend the classes. There are some children who donot have food once in a day. For such children this food is so very important that they take this food to their home.
